Water Sports

 

Scuba Diving- Courses and one off dives can be arranged through Ocean Sports or Turtle Bay Beach Club.
Fun Boating – Sailing in toppers from Turtle Bay Beach Club, Instructor provided.
Windsurfing – Boards and instruction through Turtle Bay Beach Club or Ocean Sports.
Deep Sea fishing – Fishing beyond the reef with possible sighting of whales and dolphins. Half day trips can be arranged through Ocean Sports or Hemingway’s.

 

Watamu Turtle Watch

 

Its a local organization that rescues turtles caught in fishermen’s nets and returns them to the ocean.Their base is near Temple Point,Watamu Road,and they have an Office by Watamu Supermarket…Its worth visiting.

 

Bird watching in Arabuko- Sokoke Forest

 

It’s good to go around 6.30 am,You have to pay Park fees in US dollars (20 dollars per person) You can also go bird- watching at the mouth of the Galana River near Malindi.

 

Gede Ruins

 

These atmospheric ruins are well worth a visit.best to go in the late afternoon.

 

Snake Park in Watamu

 

Excellent collection of snakes and very knowledgeable staff.Worth a visit to those who aren’t too squeamish.

 

Watamu Marine park & Sudi Island

 

Full day & Half day snorkelling & Dolphin watching excursions. The start point is from the the KWS Watamu Marine office.
